I will set up some parameters to avoid blathering about unrelated things, this will not be a recipe for stuffed ham dogs with a 3000 word story about my trip to Hawaii before dropping the information you seek.

Firstly, I am not a professional so do not take everything I note as bible; also this is specific to hormonal acne (chin and jaw).

I will start from the inside then go outwards, like being born or how depraved people eat meat pies.

My thoughts after trying every diet (no sugar, no gluten, no dairy) skin treatment (laser, chemical peels) and skincare (too many to list but the fancy ones as well), is that nothing is going to work if your insides and outsides are weak and can’t fend for themselves.

So let’s make everything strong and sexy. Yes it’s expensive, but I’ve spent THOUSANDS of dollars trying everything else over the last few years, literally all of my leftover money after rent and food went back into the perpetual stew of bandaid solutions for a body and face that were plotting against me (supposedly).

I begun taking a probiotic and zinc, after seeing nutritionist Sophia Power , she made a list of all the other supplements listed below.

This is everything I am taking, the large bold links are directly skin related, the rest are definitely playing their role, but if you don’t want to drop I would honestly recommend just starting with the large links.

INSIDE ( TUM & HORMONES)

Acne Biome Probiotics

These are incredible and the first thing I started to take along with the zinc. I started seeing results in less than 2 weeks, it worked quicker and more efficiently than PuraU which is 10X the price. I will be taking these for the foreseeable future.

Zinc Supplement

Collagen Powder

Hydrolyed marine collagen peptides, with hylauronic acid and vitamin C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extremely sexy and the bang for buck makes me go ‘AHHHOOOOGAH’ (slapstick cartoon with love heart eyes)

My tummy was all kinds of messed up before I started all this business, I won’t get into details because no one deserves that, but trust me.

Cod Liver Oil

This helps regulating oil production and inflammation, especially if you’re prone to big horrible cystic varieties, also just general health (I would give further information but screen shotting google images to make a collage has used most of my resources on this Sunday)

Inositol

There are sooo many great studies for Inositol, I would recommend having a google and read. Especially for those with PCOS and blood sugar issues. Do I know if this is WORKING working? no, but supplements should really be taken consistently for a few months and honestly this is so cheap that I’ll just keep taking it for at least 6 months.

CalmX Magnesium

Okay but this stuff is cracked. I fall asleep within 10 minutes (never before in my life).

I will unfortunately have to keep taking this because of how good it is, stress is a huge factor for breaking out, along with poor sleep; this deals with both and is a yummy berry drink (hate plain water gang rise up)

Liver Support supplements

Liver = detox centre = flushing uglyness out of my body

Also recommend

  • Cutting down on dairy (i’m sorry)

  • Eating whole foods (meat, veg, fruit, non spiking grains like buckwheat and quinoa)

  • Cutting back booze

OUTSIDE

If you have a security guard that is 300 years old, has measles, mumps and broken legs, he’s going to be very bad at his job. Even a small child wielding a plastic knife would be able to get in and cause freakish amounts of damage.

This is your face when your barrier is impaired. Even a little graze from your hand with a regular amount of life grime can cause an outbreak. Like an exposed nerve, there’s nothing to protect your skin which is a living organism covered in it’s own little guys (bacteria).

Keeping your face CLEAN is a major factor in this healing stage, using a cotton round with a hydrating watery toner morning and night helped me a lot. I used the Caudalie Toner ,but I don’t think it was the toner but more the action of wiping and cleaning the skin which made a difference, just make sure it’s simple and hydrating NOT exfoliating.

Double cleansing morning and night with a gentle face wash, I really like the Soonjung Gentle Whip cleanser. I found oil cleansing, and only washing my face at night made my skin worse, this never makes my skin feel squeaky but just CLEAN!!!!!!!! and soo yummy and juicy I want to punch a wall after I layer on all my hydrants.

Next comes a solid 4-5 minutes of patiently layering watery hydrating toners and serum, fanning your face between each layer.

I really cannot recommend the Haru Haru hyaluronic toner enough, I do about 3 thin layers and afterwards my skin has a cool sensation similar to drinking an extremely cold glass of water and feeling it seep through your body.

If your barrier needs extra love this Centella Essence is great, I would use 2 or so thin layers.

Up next is the Biobod Soothing Serum, I love Biobod and also use a few drops of their oil on nights when I need a bit more hydration, along with their rice face wash 1-2 times a week as a light exfoliant.

For a spot treatment, I now only use Medik8 SOS, and try my hardest not to pick or squeeze (hate these two words next to each other). Now my barrier is healed I’ve also started using Adapalene 0.1% a few times a week and will use the Medik8 Night Restore afterwards, but if you’re still in the breaking OUT stage I’d hold off intense actives.

This moisturiser is great, simple, soothing hydrating Dr.G's Soothing Cream

It hasn’t broken me out and makes your skin feel healthy and juicy <3 Tasty

Here is my skin in May after chemical peels which I was recommended (I have only ever reacted terribly to peels, and have been told the purging was necessary???? It’s not) and expensive skin products. Compared to my skin just yesterday doing everything listed above for almost 3 months now, I am wearing BB Cream as I have a LOT of hyperpigmentation from the last few years, but my pores and texture are happy and healthy.

Have anymore questions? Let me know!

Mwazies for now xoxo
